Should've Would've Could've
Three words that only express one thing, regret.
I've been working on expelling those three phrases from my vocabulary because I can't find any pros to holding on to them. Expressing that you should have , would have or could have done something only indicates that the event has passed and and you're dwelling, regretting the choice/s you made. Yes, a lot of things could've been done better, you could have expounded more on the topic of your essay, you should've taken that offer before it expired and you could have that necklace but you chose not to purchase it and then it sold out.
Sometimes we're indecisive, we make bad choices and then dwell what we could've , or should've done or how we would've helped, had we known and it's a real issue. Even though we learn from our mistakes, we shouldn't subject ourselves to self pity, the past has been written and cannot be changed , it's impossible and life prods us to more forward , so instead of dwelling one what could have been , put a little pep in your step and be happy about what you can do, what you will and all you should do. Because you're going to do it , and that 'going to' will turn into 'done'. Basically just do you, execute well. Cause no regrets honey.
Release the past, embrace the journey ahead
